Now for something completely different

Two statements that have nothing to do with one another, or for that matter, with anything else.

1. I want to apologize to my readership (if I have one) for the length of some of my recent posts -- as is readily evident, I tend to go too long on posts -- I have not quite gotten the blog etiquette down yet. I will try to break my streams of thought into readable and succinct posts going forward (maybe).

2. OK, so how do I know I am getting older? David Lee Roth has a BLUEGRASS (yes, that is what I said, Bluegrass) album out, and I (gulp) kind of like it... (face reddening now). I found myself waxing nostalgic as I watched David perform some of the songs on CMT.

Okay, I take offense at the long post comment. Guilty!

So let me get this straight. Reformed Messianic Jew. Bi-vocational pastor. Biker with addiction (Starbucks); and bluegrass performed by old rockers fan. Am I correct so far?

DLR doing bluegrass doesn't actually sound that off.

Sean's comment above made me laugh!! Such a good rundown on who Ray is. That's hilarious! :)

And even though I live 30 minutes from the TN border, I'm still having trouble getting my brain around bluegrass. I was never a DLR fan, either, so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to share this appreciation with you, brother! LOL

Oh, and I don't have any complaints about the length of posts. I can be kinda long-winded myself, so I find it hard to judge anyone else for that. ;)

Van Halen gone Bluegrass sounds like a rather odd concept.

Steve -- Yeah, that ole Sean is quite a funny guy! (I will deal with you later, Sean!) :-)

rabenstrange -- Thanks for stopping by -- yeah, I think DLR is trying to jumpstart something with his bluegrass... Also, I stopped by your place a couple of times -- I used to live in Zushi, Japan -- if you get a chance, stop by and say hi to my old town! :-) I loved it over there...
